SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Senior1Care, a leading provider of in-home care services, is proud to announce the promotion of Jane Francis, RN, to Executive Vice President, Business Development, as well as Dr. Olivia Lusher and Marissa Carroll’s appointment as Executive Directors in the organization’s Fort Wayne and Angola offices, respectively.
Jane Francis’ extensive background in healthcare and business management positions her uniquely to drive the organization’s growth and enhance its mission providing exceptional, dependable, and compassionate care to individuals seeking to maintain independent living. “This appointment strengthens Senior1Care’s commitment to excellence in healthcare with integrity, respect, growth, and quality service,” said Senior1Care President Kyle Bossung. “Jane has been with Senior1Care as the Executive Director of our Fort Wayne and Angola offices for three years, demonstrating exceptional leadership and a heartfelt dedication to improving the lives of those we serve. Her ability to foster a culture of partnership and
collaboration has been instrumental in our success. I have no doubt that Jane’s leadership in this new role will drive our organization forward and positively impact the communities we serve, and our caregiver and client population will be in confident, capable hands under Olivia and Marissa’s leadership as well.”
Francis’ extensive career began in the healthcare setting where she worked for over 17 years as a post-anesthesia care unit nurse, followed by a successful tenure as the director of a surgical center. Her career then took a pivotal turn when she transitioned into the corporate world, where she led one of the largest sales teams for a top retail company based in Dallas, Texas. Francis’ passion for serving others brought her back to the healthcare industry, particularly focusing on senior living. Her dedication to seniors and their families has been evident in her impactful work, and she is now excited to leverage her diverse experience in her new role as Executive Vice President of Business Development.
“I’m honored to step into this new role, focusing on strategic initiatives to expand our services and outreach,” said Jane Francis, RN, EVP of Business Development. “Making a difference in the lives of others has always been my passion. Ensuring that more individuals and families have access to the support they need will make a lasting impact on our community.”
Dr. Olivia Lusher holds a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership, with a focus on change theory and use of technology, as well as a Master of Science in Educational Leadership, and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, English (with reading endorsement). She has recently worked for Trine University as a business professor and previously served as an Executive Director for the American Red Cross. She has been an on-call manager at Senior1care for three years. As a result of Dr. Lusher’s new appointment as Executive Director at Senior1Care, she can effectively combine these extensive experiences and strategically approach every situation with problem-solving care. She shared her enthusiasm about her new role, stating,
“My time as a professor equipped me with a deep understanding of strategic development and innovation, which I am eager to apply in my new role, helping Senior1Care Fort Wayne adapt in every scenario as Executive Director. Together, we will continue to foster a culture of excellence and drive impactful growth, ensuring we meet the evolving needs of our community.” Outside of the classroom, boardroom, and Senior1Care Fort Wayne office, Dr. Lusher is also part of the Women’s Business Council of NE Indiana, a Rotarian, and a chamber member.
Marissa Carroll will serve as Executive Director in the Angola office. Carroll holds a degree in Healthcare Administration from Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne and has been in the healthcare space for over eight years, most recently as a Hospice Care Consultant at Heartland Hospice. She brings a wealth of experience and a strong dedication to healthcare advocacy and leadership.
“Guiding individuals through their healthcare journeys is a privilege I don’t take lightly, and I apply the same commitment and sensitivity toward the path our caregivers are on, caring for our clients at Senior1Care,” Carroll stated. “I’m dedicated to fostering strong community ties and supporting continuous learning, helping others grow professionally and individually. A strong and successful staff of caregivers is one that can impact many lives positively by feeling that support and impact themselves.” In addition to her passion for healthcare excellence at Senior1Care, Carroll is an active member on the boards of LTC Ombudsman, The Nurse’s Ball, and serves as President of her local BPN group.
