This topic keeps rearing its head. I continue to be challenged by family members who live 1000s of miles away and impart themselves whenever they feel like it — not on an ongoing basis. So, they don’t have context to what’s going on and it makes my life and that of my client difficult.
This post is a bit delayed, but I want to say thanks to SayAh! for their informative and inspiring health literacy symposium last month. Harriet Washington was the keynote and she is an incredible ocean of knowledge and insight. I was so glad I attended!!
Tied very much to my caregiving role(s), I continue to work on my boundary setting. Is it ever clear cut? I don’t think so. There are many things to take into consideration. Anyone want to chat about this topic? DM me.
The weather so wacky and weirdly warm this week in Chicago. Highs in the low 80s. Now that it’s cooled off, I can’t wait to get a good hike in this weekend. It refreshes me!
This weekend a group of us caregivers will be getting together for a meditation. It’s taken a while to schedule this, but I’m so looking forward to having other caregivers in the room that understand the journey!
