About the Event
Are you or loved ones among the many Americans planning to stay in their homes and communities for as long as possible? Empowering people to live as they choose as they age, and a key part of delivering on that mission includes encouraging the availability of housing options that support different life stages.
This presentation, based on The AARP HomeFit program, will explore best practices for home accessibility and safety modifications, from quick fixes such as improving lighting and adding hand rails to those that require professionals such as modifying bathrooms and doorways to accommodate wheelchairs. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions.
