On March 24, My Care Friends screened this incredible film at the University of Denver to launch the new MCF program Hope in Aging and Dementia. This powerful documentary explores dementia from a global perspective, highlighting the lived experiences of individuals, families, and caregivers across diverse cultures. The response from attendees at the University of Denver was so enthusiastic about the film and our special panel that we’re bringing it to everyone through this May 7th virtual screening.

Keys Bags Names Words shows intimate profiles of people living with dementia and their care partners. You’ll meet doctors discussing what you can do in your life to support brain health and prevent cognitive decline. And you’ll meet musicians and artists, scientists and policy experts from around the world engaged in a bold approach to tackle the greatest global challenge for health and social care in the 21st century, dementia and brain health.

This film is not a lament to loss, but a quirky and inspiring celebration of the human spirit.

I hope you’ll join the My Care Friends team and another very special panel on May 7th, including:

Raj Dasgupta MD, – a quadruple-board certified physician, respected voice in the medical world, and media personality, whose late-father had dementia.

Dr. Walt Dawson – a key figure in the film related to his dad’s Alzheimer’s journey, he has long been a leading voice related to global health policy, interventions to better support people living with dementia, and much more.

Cindy Koch (Cook) – a visionary and advocate of ethics and best practices for individuals advising seniors, she facilitates as a subject matter expert, working with Corporations, Government and Non-Profit organizations as an elder care expert.

Lori La Bey – a top influencer in the arena of dementia who as been recognized by Oprah, Maria Shriver, AARP of Minnesota and others, her Alzheimer’s Speaks podcast was the first of its kind in the world focusing on dementia and caregiving.

Cynthia Stone – an award-winning Writer, Producer and Editor whose work has appeared on PBS, BBC, Discovery and more, she is the director and producer of Keys Bags Words Names.
