Blessings to all, especially the grievers

When we have experienced the loss of someone significant in our lives, normal holiday stress becomes magnified by “He’s not here. I miss her. What would he think? What would she do?”

Tension adds to grief. Stress adds to grief. Fear adds to grief. Really, most emotions affect the intensity of our grieving.

This year we have a lot of tension in the world. We have extra stress in our life and all around us. We also have a lot of fear for our well being, for our safety, for our country and for our world.

All of these emotions make coping with the holidays even more challenging than during past seasons.

What to do?

Look for the positive that is in your life today. Operative word being TODAY. Actually, “one day at a time” is a good motto for anyone to practice, whether they’re grieving or not.

Be gentle with yourself.

Pull your world in closer this holiday season.

Blessings to all, especially the grievers~
